Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of authoritarian leadership and work pressure on cybercrime committed by employees in an organizational environment. Cybercrime is a form of deviant behavior that utilizes information technology and computer systems that can cause harm to the organization. Organizational and psychological factors of employees are suspected to be the causes of this behavior, including authoritarian leadership and work pressure. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory research method. The population in this study are employees of the organization that is the object of research. Data collection techniques were carried out through the distribution of questionnaires. Data analysis used validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-tests, F-tests, and coefficients of determination with the help of the SPSS program. The results of the study indicate that authoritarian leadership has no significant effect on cybercrime. Work pressure has a positive and significant effect on cybercrime. Simultaneously, authoritarian leadership and work pressure have a significant effect on cybercrime. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.624 indicates that 62.4% of the variation in cybercrime can be explained by authoritarian leadership and work pressure, while the remaining 37.6% is explained by other factors outside the study.
