Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to Marsidiapari: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat are evaluated through a peer-review process to ensure scientific quality and relevance.
- Initial Editorial Screening
- Every submitted manuscript is first assessed by the Editorial Team.
- The editor evaluates the relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, completeness of the manuscript, conformity with the journal template, and basic academic quality.
- Manuscripts that do not meet the basic criteria may be returned to the author for revision or rejected at this stage.
- Plagiarism Check
- Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are checked for originality using plagiarism detection software.
- Manuscripts with a high similarity index or indications of plagiarism may be rejected or sent back to the author for clarification and revision.
- Peer Review Assignment
- Eligible manuscripts are then sent to at least two reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.
- Marsidiapari applies a blind review system, in which reviewers do not see the authors’ identities (and, where possible, authors do not see the reviewers’ identities).
- Review Process
- Reviewers assess the manuscript based on:
- relevance to community service and empowerment,
- clarity of objectives and methodological rigor,
- quality of analysis and presentation of results,
- contribution and impact on the community,
- use of up-to-date and relevant references,
- clarity of language and overall structure.
- Reviewers provide comments, suggestions, and recommendations (accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject).
- Editorial Decision
- The editor considers the reviewers’ recommendations and makes one of the following decisions:
- Accept without revision,
- Accept with minor revisions,
- Reconsider after major revisions,
- Reject.
- The decision is communicated to the corresponding author along with the reviewers’ comments.
- Revision by Authors
- Authors are requested to revise the manuscript based on reviewers’ and editor’s comments.
- Revised manuscripts must be accompanied by a response letter explaining how each comment has been addressed.
- The editor may send the revised manuscript back to the reviewers for further evaluation if necessary (especially after major revisions).
- Final Decision and Publication
- After the manuscript is accepted, it proceeds to copyediting, layout, and proofreading.
- The final, approved version is then scheduled for publication in the next available issue of Marsidiapari: Journal of Community Service.
